Aiming for 95+ on Mobile and Desktop: Websites Built for Speed

A website can look impressive and still feel slow to use. Customers should be able to read about your services, browse your work and get in touch without waiting for heavy pages to catch up. At Nexar Web Services, we build with performance in mind from the beginning, aiming for 95+ in Google PageSpeed Insights on both mobile and desktop.

This is a performance target, not a promise that every page will return the same score on every test. It gives us a clear goal while keeping the most important thing in view: a useful, reliable website for your customers.

What does a 95+ PageSpeed score mean?

Google PageSpeed Insights checks a page and reports on several areas, including performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO. Our 95+ target refers specifically to the Performance score. A 100 in the SEO or accessibility category is not the same as a 100 for speed.

Mobile and desktop are tested separately under simulated conditions. Google considers a performance score of 90 or above good; our aim goes further. Scores can vary between runs, and the test result is not the same as the experience of every visitor. Where real-user data is available, we also look at it rather than relying on one green number. Google explains how PageSpeed Insights works here.

Speed starts with the website build

Good hosting matters, but it cannot remove every limitation in a website’s design or code. Oversized images, unnecessary scripts and heavy layouts can all add work before a customer can use the page. Adding more optimisation tools is not always the answer.

Our performance-focused website design brings the design and technical work together. We focus on:

  • Lightweight, responsive layouts that work properly on phones and larger screens.
  • Images sized for where they are displayed, with efficient formats where appropriate.
  • Only loading the code and features the page actually needs.
  • Sensible caching while keeping forms, accounts and checkout working correctly.
  • Testing real customer journeys as well as looking at the score.

We do not want a website that scores well because its useful features have stopped working. Enquiry forms, navigation and any agreed booking or shop features still need to do their job.

Bringing an existing website across? Our 95+ service requires a rebuild

If you are moving your website to Nexar and want us to work towards 95+ on mobile and desktop, your existing website will need a rebuild with us. A hosting transfer alone is not our 95+ service.

We start by reviewing your current design, content and functionality. We then agree what should be retained, what needs improving, and the scope and cost before work begins. You do not have to abandon the parts of your website you like: a rebuild can use your existing design as a starting point while improving the underlying structure.

If you simply want to move hosting, our hosting services are available separately. That is a different service from rebuilding a website around a high performance target.

Will a faster website help with SEO?

A faster, easier-to-use website gives visitors a better foundation for exploring your business. Performance is worth addressing alongside useful content, clear page structure and sound technical SEO. But a 95 or 100 PageSpeed score is not a guarantee of first-page rankings.

Our SEO services consider more than a speed test. Your pages still need to explain what you offer and answer the questions that matter to potential customers.

What can affect the final score?

Large media, third-party booking tools, payment integrations, tracking and other required features can affect performance. Content changes and test conditions can also change a result after launch. We will discuss those trade-offs with you and test mobile and desktop separately, rather than promising an identical number for every page.
